0050-0350/EK97 DXBFCO 0735-1110 DAY 02 ARRIVE ROME – CITY TOUR (Local Dinner) 27NOV Upon arrival in Rome, we will be met at the airport and transferred to one of the sightseeing tour of Italy’s capital the starts. The highlight of the tour is without doubt the visit St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City. From here we proceed to ancient Rome for a view of the awe inspiring Coliseum, as well as many other famous sites such as Circus Maximas, Trevi fountain and the Spanish Steps. This evening enjoy an authentic four course Italian meal and for those wine enthusiasts, we will provide free flow to accompany the Roman Show. DAY 03 ROME – POMPEII – SORENTO – ROME (B/L/D) 28NOV After breakfast we transfer to Pompei by long distance coach (LDC) as known The Forgotten City of Pompeii. Pompeii was first occupied in the 8th century BC. The Etruscans soon dominated the region and Pompeii was no exception. The Etruscan occupation lasted throughout the 5th and 6th centuries BC. After the Etruscans came the Saminites. The Saminites turned Pompeii into a pure Greek town. Their reign ended when the Romans took control of Pompeii around 200 BC. The Romans retained control over Pompeii until the end... a fateful day in 79 AD when Mt Vesuvius unleashed its fury on the 20,000 inhabitants of this thriving Roman city. Then transfer to Sorrento, Sorrento is a small town wonderfully located over white steep cliffs and offers a fantastic view over the Bay of Naples. Sorrento lies on a Tufa terrace and is enclosed by impressive rocks of the limestone mountains. For 2000 years already visitors from all over the world have been attracted to Sorrento by breathtaking sunsets and fragrances of orange and lemon gardens. DAY 04 ROME – PISA – PRATO (B/L/D) 29NOV After breakfast we head North through the Umbrian Hills before arriving in Pisa for Chinese lunch and a view of the Leaning Tower in the Square of Miracles, here you will have some free time to buy souvenirs or just relax in a café. DAY 05 PRATO – FLORENCE – VENICE (B/L/D) 30NOV This morning we will enjoy our guided walking tour of Renaissance Florence. The sights will include the Duomo, Piazzale Michelangelo and Piazza Signoria. After lunch you may wish to explore the magnificent fashion and leather shops of the Tuscan Capitol. In the afternoon we continue our Italian adventure and travel to Venice for dinner and overnight, preparing for tomorrows tour of the fabled canalled thoroughfares and gilded palaces which possess a beguiling beauty unsurpassed by anywhere else on Earth. DAY 06 VENICE – VERONA (B/L/D) 010NOV Today our private motor launch will spirit us away from the mainland to St Mark’s square, viewing the Bridge of Sighs and Doges’ Palace. Next we visit a Venetian glass-blowing factory, famous the world over for its craftsmanship and clarity. The most romantic way of touring Venice's canals is in a gondola, and not only do we include this wonderful experience… but you will be accompanied by musicians. After our seafood lunch we leave Venice behind and make our way to Verona for a walking tour following the footsteps of Romeo and Juliet. DAY 07 VERONA – MILAN (B/L/D) 02DEC Leaving Verona and it’s incredible architecture we head for Milan, where we will enjoy lunch and an orientation tour including the gothic Duomo, the 19th Century Galleria and “La Scala” Opera house. Culturally, fashionably and socially Milan is undoubtedly one of Europe's most charming and one of Italy’s most vibrant cities. DAY 08 MILAN - LUCERNE – ZURICH - DUBAI (Hot Breakfast) 03DEC The final day of our tour takes us through the Italian Lakes, across the Alps into Switzerland most visited town - Lucerne, we will see the most famous Lion Monument and have time for shopping for gifts and souvenirs. If time permits, take a cable car up to the top of Mt Titlis, 10,000 feet above the sea level. At the summit you will enjoy the activities and to truly experience the snow and ice on top of Mt Titlis (optional), we have included the chair lift, Ice Flyer. The view of the glacier crevasses is spectacular! At more than 3000 meters, a breathtaking panorama unfolds. DAY 09 DUBAI/ KUALA LUMPUR 04DEC EK86 ZRHDXB 2145-0645/EK342 DXBKUL 1020-2125.
