Location
Located in the heart of the city at the Central train station,
close to the main shopping streets. There could not be a more
central hotel! |
Rooms
All rooms are en-suite and have interactive TV, hairdryer,
trouser press, iron/ironing board and tea/coffee making
facilities as standard. Rooms are very large in size with
extremely high ceilings, giving a spacious and airy feel. |
Restaurant
Light snacks are served in the lounge area, whilst the
restaurant offers carvery, table d'hote and a la carte menus.
There is also a new modern bar on the first floor, which becomes
popular at weekends. |
Exterior
A grand Victorian building, it is one of Glasgow's oldest and
original hotels. |
Lobby
The lobby is very large and opens onto the street. There is also
access from the train station. The lobby is simply decorated and
in need of some renovation. |
General
Located in the city centre and convenient for all attractions
and shopping. Ideal for those arriving by rail into Central
station. The hotel also has a fully equipped leisure centre with
swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and gym. This is a property more
suited for the budget traveller as this huge property is a
little dated - yet comfortable and with a perfect central
location. (BL 06/2004) |
